Events: 17 B, 17 C events (no build); national rules with modifications to Lab events

Run by: Los Altos High School

Teams: Teams from any states, unlimited

Cost: $50 for the first team + $30 per additional team

Registration opens: 9/8/25

Early Bird Discount ($10 off per team): 9/26/25

Eligibility

Team spots in the tournament are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, contingent upon Los Altos High School receiving the registration fee by the payment deadline. Teams that do not submit payment on time will forfeit their spot to those on the waitlist. If your school anticipates difficulty meeting the payment deadline, please reach out to us at info@lahsscioly.org.

All students must meet eligibility requirements as outlined on soinc.org to compete for their respective teams. Additionally, every participating student will be required to complete several waivers, which will be distributed to teams shortly after registration.

Policies

• Coaches and teams will not be required to write tests or supervise events.

• The Los Altos Invitational will make every effort to follow the current year’s National Science Olympiad event schedule.

• To ensure fairness, official event rules will be observed as closely as possible, with the exception of the Event Modifications noted here. Unless competitors are specifically informed otherwise, all events will be conducted in accordance with STATE rules and the listed Event Modifications.
